Here is a good example of creating a modern take of an old painting. My friends Jori and Kiley worked together on this image. Its a really great image!! They put their own twist on it, the girl is from a sorority and I think the guy is as well which if you think about it conceptually makes sense. The social politics, significance of wealth, social restraint and behaviors play a role in both court at the time of the painting and that of sororities and fraternities.

In here it mentions his process of recreation and how painstaking it is to recreate a painting with props and a set. I just wanted to make sure everyone understood how much time he has spent and how he used multiple mediums, not just computer manipulations, to construct his pieces to then photograph.
